Once it is determined that there is a blockage or narrowing of an artery through Peripheral Angiogram, a medical balloon is used to widen the blocked arteries.
This procedure is known as Peripheral Angioplasty.
If needed, a stent which is a small metal mesh tube is placed in the artery to keep it open.
