BMV (Balloon Mitral Valvuloplasty)

Treatment for mitral valve stenosis is called Balloon valvotomy.

In this procedure, the mitral valve is widened to increase the flow of blood through the heart.

Patients diagnosed with mitral valve stenosis, certain pulmonic valve blockages, or high-risk aortic stenosis benefit from this procedure.

A balloon is sent in the heart through the femoral vein and is expanded temporarily across the narrowed valve.
